Remember your favorite toys? What makes the difference between an amazing toy and one that gets used once, then tossed? In this course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of design thinking to find inspiration, gain empathy, ideate, and then create a new-to-the-world toy! Class activities include play sessions, lectures on a brief history of toys and the basics of childhood development, a visit to IDEO’s toy lab, and trying out design research methods to keep you inspired by and connected to the kids you design for.
Enrollment limited to 25 students. Applications close Sep. 23 @ 11:59pm. Apply here: bit.ly/popupappfall2014
