University Innovation Fellows

This program empowers students to become agents of change in higher education.

University Innovation Fellows are leading a movement to ensure that all students gain the attitudes, skills and knowledge required to address complex challenges and compete in the economy of the future. These student leaders create new opportunities that help their peers build creative confidence and develop an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.

Fellows are trained to understand the landscape of innovation and entrepreneurship resources at their schools, and work as collaborators with faculty, administrators and community stakeholders. They develop strategic thinking skills and learn multiple frameworks, including design thinking and lean startup as well as program models used by schools across the globe.

These student leaders have a bias towards action. They create innovative spaces and hands-on experiences that allow all students at their schools to collaborate on framing problems as opportunities for creative solutions. They serve as advocates for lasting institutional change with academic leaders and represent the student voice in the national conversation about the future of education.
