Welcome to the page hosting assessment prototypes created by the Henry Ford Learning Institute (HFLI). These rubrics are primarily created for high school and junior high students. Please check them out and give feedback! email adamroyalty at dschool.stanford.edu
Foundations of Innovations
This is the teacher guide of the Foundations of Innovation course taught to all new 9th grade students in Henry Ford Academy network schools (Note: this portion does not include accompanying teacher handouts and slide shows). See the table of contents for the different rubrics. In addition, HFA schools have developed other rubrics for assessing student work in grade level design challenges outside of the Foundations course. (For more information on the Foundations curriculum or other HFLI Design Thinking resources, contact Aaron Wilson-Ahlstrom at HFLI at firstname.lastname@example.org)
Design Thinking Basic Rubric 1.0
This rubric is a simplified version of the FOI rubric. It contains an assessment tool that is meant to be used on design thinking artifacts that students will generate naturally throughout their project. Also, it has a template for log book prompts that ask students to reflect on their process.
Design Thinking Basic Summative Rubric 1.0
This is a ROUGH prototype of a summative rubric. It makes a lot of assumptions. Please check it out and give some feedback.
