Our team

“We couldn’t be more different, except for our shared values. And that makes working together enjoyable.”

Tania Anaissie

Experience Designer: Teaching & Learning, d.global

Tania first joined the d.school as a Designer on the Stanford 2025 project, a project that aimed to re-imagine the future of higher education. Concepts from this project such as purpose learning, lifelong learning, and student calibration still inspire a lot of the work she does.

In the following year, Tania joined the d.global team. D.global’s mission is to unleash the creative potential of every person on the planet. This pop-up team meets in global locations around the world to experiment with out-in-the-world learning and how to unlock people’s creativity outside of the walls of the d.school. This work calls to her deep desires to experiment in the field of education and to empower students to embrace challenges with confidence. Tania humbly hopes to take what she learns from her d.global and d.school work to spark young leaders in her home country, Lebanon, to use their creative power to create their own social change.

Tania is also part of the Teaching and Learning Team at the d.school. This team is experimenting with how we develop and share curriculum, assess student growth, nurture teaching capacity, and further support our students. She also teaches classes at the d.school. Previous classes have focused on the re-imagining of higher ed, the re-entry process for international students, and the reshaping of engineering diversity.

Tania is thankful every day for the inspirational, dedicated, compassionate people she gets to work with at the d.school. She couldn’t be more thankful for this family.

When Tania isn’t at work, you’ll find her searching for people, languages, and cultures unlike her own to push her vision of the world. She might also be hunting down gluten/soy/dairy free bakeries (Zest Bakery and Eis Voh are the best so far) or working on her Beirut travel guide.
