Kerry is finally comfortable calling herself a designer. Trained as an Anthropologist, Kerry always knew her passion was getting to know people and what makes them tick. But, as a practical person and thinker, Kerry supplemented her liberal arts education with a MBA from Stanford, hoping that a combination of business- and human-centered-thinking would have a place, somewhere. The d.school was that place.
After completing a fellowship at the d.school, Kerry followed her design thinking path to IDEO, where she is a Design Lead and Business Designer. Kerry continues to teach at Stanford, bringing her perspective as a woman, a design thinker and a business designer to students.
Knowing that there is little separation between work and life, if one is lucky, Kerry devotes her time to the few things she loves – travel abroad, being outdoors (ideally on a sailboat), creating and implementing, and championing design for women.
