Anna Love-Mickelson

Anna feels most comfortable feeling UNcomfortable. As someone with an insatiable appetite for adventure, she is always looking for new experiences, new people, and new ways to make an impact on this little patch of universe we call Earth.

She has spent her professional career split between working at start-ups and established Fortune 500 companies, and has used design thinking to lead strategic planning initiatives at non-profits, innovate product offerings and reinvent corporate training infrastructure. Anna was most recently the Director of Training at a large financial services firm based in Minneapolis. One of her proudest moments was when a design thinking session participant exclaimed, “You’ve taught us to ‘dance’ again!” She has since learned to keep a box of tissues handy when coaching a session.

Anna first came to the Stanford in 2010 as an executive participant in the Customer-Focused Innovation program and soon became a certified d.leader. She splits her time between working with the coaching their Design Thinking Bootcamp and Customer Focused Innovation programs, and coaching design thinking sessions for organizations worldwide.
